For 35 years, I’ve worked with extraordinary people including ambitious entrepreneurs, leaders, high-growth businesses and fast growth business starts
Throughout this incredible journey, one question has continually fascinated me "what makes people think and behave the way they do?"
I'VE SEEN BRILLIANT STRATEGIES SUCCEED OR STALL, NOT BECAUSE THE IDEAS WERE WRONG, BUT BECAUSE THE PERSON BEHIND THEM STRUGGLED WITH SELF-DOUBT, FEAR OR BEHAVIOURS THEY COULDN'T QUITE EXPLAIN.
My entrepreneurial journey had already included gaining CIPD Chartered Membership, MSc in Management, NLP Master Practitioner, Reiki Master, followed by a deep exploration of human behaviour, psychology, psychotherapy, neuroscience, and neuroplasticity.
Then came the game changer!
In 1998 I enrolled in Durham University for a M.A. in Entrepreneurship studying the childhood of entrepreneurs and its influence upon their entrepreneurial posture. This study later went on to win me a distinction for the research and a prize in 2000 for Durham Universities Dissertation of The Year, for breaking into a new field of entrepreneurial research.
My biggest insight!
My research clearly illustrated the impact of how our childhoods developed entrepreneurial predictive beliefs and behaviours that if left untouched in our subconscious mind where we spend 95% of our time, meant that the childhood version of ourselves is running our lives and our businesses.
Why it mattered
This seed of research that has been expanded upon for over 26 years and benefited hundreds of entrepreneurs to reclaim their beliefs, how they see themselves, respond to challenges, make decisions and approach their entrepreneurial challenges and opportunities.
The transformational insight
It wasn't enough for me to know what had happened in my clients childhoods and what needed to change for them to reclaim their entrepreneurial power.
Then the magic got unpacked
I felt driven to assist my clients to edit their stories and their beliefs, capabilities and their potential at a deep psychological entrepreneurial game changing level. I chose to train in the Rapid Transformation Therapy (RTT) techniques of Marisa Peer who I've been taught by and studied with, for nearly five years, resulting in me becoming an RTT Clinical Hypnotherapist and RTT Associate.
